The Only Certified Lung Center with a Multidisciplinary Approach
Pleasant Valley Hospital is pleased to provide the only designated lung cancer screening center in the Point Pleasant area that is certified by the American College of Radiology with the region’s only highly-specialized multidisciplinary team.
Early detection is a proven, successful strategy for fighting many forms of cancer. That is why the multidisciplinary team of highly-specialized physicians at PVH is proud to offer Lung Cancer screening with low-dose computed tomography (CT) for people at high risk for lung cancer.
Patients at high risk for lung cancer who will benefit from the low-dose CT screening are:
- between the age of 55 and 77
- current smokers or have quit within the last 15 years
- smoked for 30 or more pack years (pack years are the average number of packs of cigarettes smoked per day multiplied by the number of years a person has smoked)
