Personalized Occupational Therapy
Licensed occupational therapists at Pleasant Valley Hospital develop highly personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient. Using a variety of modalities, the occupational therapy team at PVH cares for individuals of all ages with a wide range of health concerns. We work closely with our patients, their families and their referring physicians to establish and achieve specific goals.
A vital tool in stroke rehabilitation, trauma rehabilitation and rehabilitation following an orthopaedic injury or surgery, occupational therapy helps patients develop a daily routine that takes into account their lifestyle and needs. Our occupational therapists assist patients with eating, grooming, bathing and dressing by dividing important daily activities into small individual movements, then practicing each stage until patients are able to perform the movements independently. Our therapists are also trained in helping infants and children improve cognitive and physical abilities, motor skills, sensory issues and general developmental delays.
From helping a child acquire the skills needed for daily life to helping an adult relearn those same skills, our occupational therapists are committed to making a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
